April 03, 2013 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

7:00 P.M. Mayor Mark L. Tunstall brought the Lecompton City Council Special Meeting to discuss the resignation of City Superintendent Justin VanWinkle and filling the job opening to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Jimmy Wilkins, Tim McNish, Mary Jane Hoffer, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford and City Superintendent Justin Van Winkle. The following residents or township members were also present: Sandy Jacquot, Nancy Howard, and Lori Wilkins

Mayor Mark L. Tunstall accepted City Superintendent Justin VanWinkle’s resignation.

Jimmy Wilkins motioned to accept the Mayors acceptance of City Superintendent Justin VanWinkle’s resignation. Tim McNish seconded the motion. Vote carries 5 yays, 0 nays

The council would like the job opening advertised at the following locations:
Perry and Lecompton PRIDE Facebook pages, Fast-trax gas-station, Casey’s gas station, Kroegers country store, City Hall, Lecompton and Perry Post offices, Thriftway grocery store, Perry Legion, Golden Pizza, Tool Barn, Perry Bank, with Lawrence Journal World and Topeka Capital Journal and on the LKM website and CCMFOA list serve.

The council further discussed what details should be provided in the advertisements

7:40 P.M. Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to adjourn. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion and the motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
