June 13, 2013 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
6:00 P.M. Mayor Sandra L. Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Council Special Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Jimmy Wilkins, Tim McNish, Mary Jane Hoffer, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford, residents or township residents Lori Wilkins, Kevin Newman, Vickie Marino, and Brenda Hastert.
Mayor Sandra Jacquot started the discussion regarding the electrical needs of the new carnival for territorial days. Differences between what the carnival requested and what power supply we have were discussed.
The council reviewed the electrical bid from Davin electric
Kevin Newman with Delfelder electric and Brenda Hastert presented another option of creating a temporary pole with correct service.
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to approve the installation of a temporary utility pole setup and the City will agree to pay up to half of the cost if the Territorial Day Committee can’t cover the entire cost. Susie Hackathorn seconded the motion.
Vote carries 5 yays, 0 nays
6:20 P.M. Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to adjourn, Elsie Middleton seconded the motion and the motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
