DECEMBER 16, 2013 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

7:00 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Jimmy Wilkins, Mary Jane Hoffer, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford and City Superintendent Rance Roberts. Residents attending included Lori Wilkins, Ronald Thacker, Jamin Nally, Chris Tilden, and Erica Dvorske

Susie Hackathorn motioned to approve the December 02, 2013 City Council Meeting Minutes. Tim McNish seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.

Jimmy Wilkins motioned to approve the bills before the council. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.

Chris Tilden – Community Health Plan Presentation
– Elsie Middleton motioned to approve resolution #287 establishing the “Roadmap to a Healthier Douglas County 2013-2018” The Douglas County Community Health Plan as a guiding document for the City of Lecompton. Jimmy Wilkins seconded the motion.

Building Permit # 13-216 – for Jamin and Annette Nally –
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to approve the building permit, Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.

Discussion of amount of comp time
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to buy 40hrs of Rance’s comp time. Susie Hackathorn seconded the motion.

– Junk Removal Bids – Review
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to award the bid for junk removal at 339 Halderman to Jim Burkett. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.

Announcements:
– Trudy Rice with Kansas Community Pride Organization won the Monsanto award, which donates $2500.00 to a charity of your choice and she chose to donate to Lecompton Pride.
