June 01, 2015 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
7:00 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Mary Jane Hoffer, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. Tim McNish and Jimmy Wilkins were absent. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford, City Superintendent Rance Roberts and City Attorney Jeff Heiman. Residents attending included Jamin Nally and Martha Falk.
Elsie Middleton motioned to approve the May 18th, 2015 City Council Meeting Minutes. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3 yeas, 0 nays.
Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to approve the bills before the council. Susie Hackathorn seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3 yeas, 0 nays.
Martha Falk was in to discuss the property and dog issue at 637 Whitfield, she is the property owner, and her nephew is the renter. She is in the process of getting them evicted. The council expressed that the major concern is the dog, and as long as progress is being made on the yard and trash the council will be considerate about the time.

-Electrical outlet updates and no street repairs on Elmore before Territorial Days

– Informed council of CUP application and Lecompton PC to provide input to the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission on the matter.
Old Business –
– E-Accelerator update: meeting last Thursday discovered there are 135 business in Lecompton, working to contact owners and categorize businesses. Work in progress.
New Business –
– Territorial Days update – would like to have the info table in front of City Hall again.
– PRIDE: Kennedy glass replacing inside windows, city will pay first and then reimburse from, look into how much the City pledged the Township would like to know.
7:45PM – Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to adjourn. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.
