September 8, 2015 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
7:00 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Jimmy Wilkins, Mary Jane Hoffer, Elsie Middleton and Susie Hackathorn were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford, City Superintendent Rance Roberts and City Attorney Jeff Heiman. Residents attending included Lori Wilkins and Jeff Pattin with Pattin Construction.
Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to approve the August 17th and August 31st City Council Meeting Minutes.
Susie Hackathorn seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Tim McNish motioned to approve the bills before the council. Jimmy Wilkins seconded the motion.

Jeff Heiman –
Rance –
– Pride water leak through the wall issue – made repairs to the gutter downspout, sealed the wall, blew out drain tube, checked the building during the rain storm, found 2 new places where water is leaking in. Councilman Jimmy Wilkins indicated he knew a guy that we could call to come check it out, this person does tuck pointing and may be able to inspect the walls and see where potential water leaks could occur.
Jeff Pattin – Provided new layout design for kitchen, provided counter top samples in comparison with the tile the council chose. New layout design provides two stoves, one oven hood with microwave and one with just a vent/light. Jeff also requested $11,000 for cabinets and $10,000 for payroll totaling $21,000.00. The Council by majority vote selected Café Di Pesco #4955K-22 as the counter top color.
Elsie Middleton motioned to pay $21,000.00 to Jeff Pattin Construction for cabinet purchase and payroll expenses. Tim McNish seconded the motion.

Lynley –
– Provided the Ks. Historical Society Preliminary Site Information questionnaire for council reviewed. Lynley noted changes, corrections and suggested revisions.
– Crack sealing change in bid – Tim McNish suggested to get a bid from Bettis asphalt.
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to authorize City Clerk Lynley Sanford to obtain a bid from Bettis asphalt and award the crack sealing work to the lesser of the bids between Bettis and Vance Brothers. Susie Hackathorn seconded the motion.

Old Business –
– Faulk property order of violation property review – photos provided demonstrated that much progress has been made to clean up the property and at this time the general consensus of the council was to not take any action.
New Business
– Complaint about trailer park at Woodson and Clark street, grass/weed nuisance. Current pictures were provided. The council agreed that the height of vegetation is over 12 inches, and asked that an in kind letter be mailed to property owner Pat Ragan.
– Elsie Middleton provided an E-Communities update regarding a pledge of Financial Support. Anyone looking for tax credits, who would be interested are encouraged to contact David Hill at Mid America Bank.
