January 05, 2016 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
6:00 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Special Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Mary Jane Hoffer, Jimmy Wilkins, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford. Residents and public persons in attendance included: Lori Wilkins.
Discussion concerning the main water line serving 3 homes on Clark Street. Concerning issues, the temp patch seemed to hold, but another section of line began leaking further up the street. The type of water line is so old that no one manufactures repair saddles. Most municipalities remove it. Council discussed best options and reviewed the current financial status of the water fund. A call to the excavator Todd Hurd was made and rough estimates of cost were discussed.
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to authorize excavator Todd Hurd to replace the main water supply line on Clark St. from the water plant heading North to the last connection. The new water line should be 4” in diameter, and is to be installed in the East side ditch. Tim McNish seconds the motion.

6:25 PM – Mary Jane Hoffer Motioned to adjourn the meeting. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.
