July 24, 2017 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
6:45 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Special Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Mary Jane Hoffer, Jimmy Wilkins, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford and City Superintendent Rance Roberts
At 6:49pm Susie Hackathorn motioned to go into executive session for 60 minutes for discussion matters of non-elected personnel to protect each individual’s privacy during each interview for the vacant Part-time City Superintendent position. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion

7:50pm Mayor Sandy Jacquot called the special meeting back to order.
Elsie Middleton motioned to hire Kevin Powell as the new City of Lecompton part time superintendent at the rate of $11 per hour, and starting on Wednesday July 26th or as soon as he can get his Hepatitis B shots.
Jimmy Wilkins motioned to approve building permit no. 17-256 for Erin and Jeff Herschell so they may finish their walk-out basement. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.

7:55PM – Jimmy Wilkins motioned to adjourn the meeting. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.
