Jeff Heiman –
– Will coordinate with the City Clerk to continue moving forward with efforts for animal control with Douglas County Sheriff’s Dept.
Rance Roberts –
Waterplant is softening water – have had some valve problems, working on that – still work in progress. Would like to get remote monitoring set up so waterplant can be checked remotely on the weekend and through the evening. Council agreed that we should look into this and see if we can get something set up.
Old Business –
– Update on 339 Halderman/Greg Trendel – thinks he has a buyer for the home, 3 people are interested in it. He is working with a real estate agent. The mortgage company won’t provide a purchase amount, but is willing to negotiate a cost. Greg would prefer to sell it, he does not want anything to be assess to tax rolls.
New Business –
– Janet Wise at 601 Whitfield – all road run off from the school and South Whitfield flows into a tube and ditch that runs into the pond at her residence. The rocks in the ditch have washed out, and she is asking if the City could pay for rip rap rock to line the ditch, they would put the rock in if the City would provide it. Council discussed and agreed that the City has not done any road construction or changes to water run off to give cause to pay for new rock for her ditch. At this time they decline to deliver rock.
– South Whitfield Street has some potholes; council asks that they be repaired/filled as soon as possible.
