Meeting Minutes
7:01 pm – Meeting called to order by Vickie Clark
Members in attendance: Vickie Clark, Jamin Nally, Michael Shields, Erin Herschell
Members not in attendance: Martin Huerter, Jonathan Gilligan, Jamie Newman
Additional people attending: Lynley Sanford, Carol Howard
Jamin Nally motioned to approve meeting minutes from January 13, 2021. Michael Shields seconded the motion. Motion passed with 4 yeas, 0 nays.
New Business:
• Proposal to replace Jonathan Gilligan by Carol Howard as an in-city representative for the planning and zoning commission.
o Michael Shields motioned to approve appointment and Erin Herschell seconded the motion. Motion passed with 4 yeas, 0 nays.
Presentation of Requests and Petitions:
• Conditional Use Permit at 568 N 1800rd. Lecompton, KS 66050
o Request to add 2 elevated storage buildings and 1 gravel lot to the existing property which currently includes 1 single-family dwelling house and 4 covered rental storage buildings.
o Planning Commission will recommend an updated plot plan map before the county meeting but agreed on approval for this request.
o Lynley Sanford will notify Douglas County on Planning Committee recommendation.
• Application to Vacate the Idyllwild Subdivision
o Lynley is currently working on gaining additional information regarding existing conditions.
o Notification needs to be given to surrounding neighbors and a public hearing posted.
o Planning Commission will reconvene for a special meeting as needed.
Notices and Communication:
• Lecompton City Pride and Lecompton City Counsel will hold a study session on July 14th.
