July 25, 2022 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL SPEICAL MEETING MINUTES
5:30 P.M. Mayor Jimmy Wilkins brought the Lecompton City Council Special Meeting to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel, specifically to interview potential candidates at 327 Elmore St. Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Mary Jane Hoffer, Stephanie Confer, Matt Roberts and Owen Mallonee were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford. Residents or township members in attendance through-out the meeting process included Glenn (Bud) Mallonee, Kyle Morgison, Ken Retter, and Nick Sanford.

Matt Roberts motioned to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel for 15 minutes with the presence of the body of the city council, Glenn (Bud) Mallonee and excluding the city clerk. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
5:45 Mayor Wilkins brought the special city council meeting back to open session.
Applicant Kyle Morgison was present.
5:45pm Matt Roberts motioned to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel for 15 minutes with the presence of the body of the city council and Kyle Morgison and excluding the city clerk. Stephanie Confer seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
6:03pm Mayor Wilkins brought the special city council meeting back to open session.

6:03pm Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel for 15 minute with the presence of the body of the city council and Ken Retter and excluding the city clerk. Owen Mallonee seconded the motion.

6:18pm Mayor Wilkins brought the special city council meeting back to open session.

6:18pm Stephanie Confer motioned to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel for 15 minutes with the presence of the body of the city council and Nick Sanford and excluding the city clerk. Matt Roberts seconded the motion.

6:33pm Mayor Wilkins brought the special city council meeting back to open session.
6:33pm Matt Roberts motioned to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel for 10 minutes with the presence of the body of the city council only and excluding the city clerk. Stephanie Confer seconded the motion.

6:43pm Mayor Wilkins brought the special city council meeting back to open session.
Matt Roberts motioned to hire candidate Kyle Morgison as full time assistant superintendent. Owen Mallonee seconded the motion. Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Stephanie Confer motioned to set the starting pay rate for the full time assistant superintendent at $20 per hour. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Council stated the start date for the full time assistant superintendent position would be August 8th, 2022.
6:46pm– Matt Roberts motioned to adjourn the special meeting. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.
