DECEMBER 02, 2013 LECOMPTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
7:00 P.M. Mayor Sandy Jacquot brought the Lecompton City Council Meeting to order at 327 Elmore, Lecompton, KS. Council Members Tim McNish, Jimmy Wilkins, Mary Jane Hoffer, Susie Hackathorn and Elsie Middleton were present at roll call. The following were also present: City Clerk Lynley Sanford and City Attorney Jeff Heiman. Residents attending included Lori Wilkins, and Ronald Thacker.
Mary Jane Hoffer motioned to approve the November 18th, 2013 City Council Meeting Minutes. Elsie Middleton seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Tim McNish motioned to approve the bills before the council. Jimmy Wilkins seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nays.
Ronald Thacker- update on information and research HUD housing fund
Jeff –: No new updates at this time
Rance –
– Snow removal/ sand use and street application – council suggested just using best judgment when to salt/sand and blade, pay attention to the streets with hills, and be mindful when pushing snow to not create to many issues at intersections for line of vision.
Lynley –
– Update Colleen Jennison with Cox on channels
– Winter School – plans to move have been cancelled.

– CB update after talking to Contractor Jeff Pattin
– Utility rates at Shaner building and mobile lodge – revisit at next meeting.
– Deffenbaugh recycling at LES – School is no longer going to have the bin since Deffenbaugh is going to start charging for it.
– Emailing utility bills? After much discussion the council unanimously said “no”.
8:27PM – Susie Hackathorn motioned to adjourn. Mary Jane Hoffer seconded the motion.
