Permit Information:
The City of Lecompton requires building permits for New Residential, commercial, and some other construction projects as well as electrical upgrades. Lecompton has adopted the 2003 International Building Code, National Electrical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code.

For Utility providers (Gas/Electric/Communication): Upgrades to existing or installation of new infrastructure requires a permit. Please see Ordinance 840 and permit application below.
Standard Building Permit
– Building Permit Application $25.00
– Plus additional 1% building permit fee (Minimum project fee of $100.00 when estimated cost is under $10,000)
– Two separate checks are required
Please Note: In the event the inspection costs and fees involved exceed the initial building permit fee, the applicant will be responsible for any costs in excess of the initial fee. These costs in excess of the initial building permit fee will be composed of the cost of the inspection plus an additional $10.00 for processing per inspection. Additional fees in excess of the building permit fee will be paid within one (1) week of the final inspection.
